Itinerary

Day 1: Immersing in Lancaster’s Amish Heritage

Start your morning with a visit to Valley Forge National Historic Park, an unforgettable immersion into the Revolutionary War, set in the bucolic countryside west of Philadelphia, before stepping into a simpler way of life with a guided tour of an Amish farm and house. After a hearty Pennsylvania Dutch lunch, spend the afternoon exploring Lancaster County, where you can enjoy a buggy ride, browse artisan shops, and savor homemade treats before checking into Cork Factory Hotel. Cap off the evening with a rustic yet refined dinner at Cork & Cap.

Day 2: Walking Through History in Gettysburg

After an included local Lancaster breakfast we will head to Gettysburg National Military Park for your guided battlefield tour. Your drive will include walking in the footsteps of history at iconic sites like Little Round Top and Pickett’s Charge, then dine at the historic Dobbin House Tavern, a beautifully preserved 18th-century inn. Spent the afternoon exploring Gettysburg’s charming town, visiting antique shops and the David Wills House, where Lincoln finalized the Gettysburg Address or a visit to the World War II Museum. Overnight stay at The Federal Pointe Inn.

Day 3: More Gettysburg & York, PA

History buffs there is more! starting with a breakfast at The Honey Bee to get ready for a visit to the Eisenhower National Historic Site, the former president’s peaceful retreat, before exploring two of Gettysburg’s most picturesque and storied landmarks: Sachs Covered Bridge and Devil’s Den. After a delicious lunch at One Lincoln, take the scenic route back to Philadelphia with a stop in York, PA, where you can stroll through the historic downtown and explore the Central Market for local flavors and crafts.  And we do need to grab the opportunity with a final history buff stop at Brandywine Battlefield Park before the sun sets. We will then return to Philadelphia and enjoy a memorable dinner at Vernick Food & Drink, reflecting on three days of discovery and history. Perfect for history lovers, culture seekers, and those looking for a peaceful countryside escape!
